New York Governor Andrew Cuomo attended a fundraiser for the Suffolk County Democratic Committee on Monday night.  He was met with hundreds of protestors demanding changes to everything from gun laws to common core.

Unfinished Business in New York's Legislative Session

  There’s around two months left in the legislative session, and a number of issues left on the agenda. But it’s uncertain how many of them will actually become law.

Governor Cuomo, who’s failed to achieve a number of progressive items over the last two years, including public campaign finance reform and a Women’s Equality Act,  told the Democratic Rural Conference that he’ll try to get them passed in the state legislature in the next eight weeks, before the session ends in June.

Malloy scraps plan to send $55 refund checks to Conn taxpayers

Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy has abandoned his proposal to give a $55-per-person tax refund this year. This comes after it was announced on Monday that that state’s tax return revenue is below what had been anticipated.
