Sarah Vowell is a social observer, regular contributor to the popular public radio program This American Life, and best selling author of Assassination Vacation and The Partly Cloudy Patriot. You might also have encountered her distinctive voice as Violet Parr in the animated film The Incredibles.


David Rakoff is an essayist, journalist, and actor, as well as a frequent contributor to This American Life. Rakoff has written for The New York Times Magazine, Outside, GQ, Vogue and Salon. His books include Fraud and Don’t Get Too Comfortable.
