A bill that would allow Connecticut officials to track students from pre-K through to their first jobs was passed by the state General Assembly’s Higher Education Committee on Monday. The bill was approved despite some concerns the system might violate privacy rights.
New York's short-lived public campaign finance program came to a halt Monday when the program's test participant, State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, said he would not participate in the pilot program because it was unjust. Haskins Laboratories, a speech and language organization, is the only laboratory in New England carrying out this clinical research and just one of ten organizations across the U.S. looking at ultra-sound.
