Conn. schools get $5 million to improve security

Schools in 36 districts across Connecticut will receive money to improve security as part of a state grant program. The $5 million grant came out of legislation passed after the Newtown school shooting.

Maritime Aquarium hosts first public sukkah in area for Jewish holiday

 Tonight at sundown marks the beginning of the Jewish  holiday, sukkot, or  Feast of the Tabernacle. For 7 to 8 days, Jews traditionally eat and rest in a temporary shelter called a sukkah. The first public sukkah in Fairfield County is already up at the Maritime Center in Norwalk.

As Connecticut continues to rebuild its shoreline after two years of tropical-style storms, the idea that some parts of the coast should not have homes on them is gaining more and more traction with federal and state officials. Malloy responds to Foley's accusations

Connecticut Democratic Governor Dannel Malloy dismissed allegations of ethical lapses against his administration on Monday.  The allegations were made by Malloy's 2010 GOP rival, Tom Foley, on the WFSB-TV program "Face the State' on Sunday.
