Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy has spent the last several days speaking on a national stage about a minimum wage hike. Now that he’s back from the National Governor’s Association meeting, Malloy brought his pitch on Tuesday to an audience of business leaders in his home state.
Some Connecticut lawmakers said they’d like to delay a bill that would impose lengthy prison sentences on people who commit crimes with drones. On Monday the lawmakers said they would prefer a task force study the issue before considering the legislation.
The state of New York plans to create the nation’s first college dedicated to homeland security and emergency preparedness. Backers say it’s a necessary measure given the major storms and terrorist threats the state has dealt with.
