Report says Conn. economy improving, but D.C. dysfunction could hurt

A new economic report by the University of Connecticut says the state gained 53 hundred jobs in the last quarter.  The report says things might have been even better if it weren’t for political brinksmanship in Washington.

Study: Chemicals from fracking could impact hormones

Hydro-fracking is used in many natural gas wells around the country, where millions of gallons of water, sand, and chemicals are pumped under the ground  to break apart rock and release gas.

A study  published on Monday in the Journal of Endocrinology  found hormone disrupting activity in the water at drill sites where spills had occurred.
