The Long Island Power Authority says it has finished restructuring more $2 billion dollars worth of debt.   LIPA says the borrowing could save rate payers some $130 million over 27 years.

Gun violence victims remembered at Washington vigil

Members of the Newtown community, including the parent of a teacher killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, attended the vigil at the National Cathedral.  The service also included others around the country who've been impacted by gun violence.

Newtown clergy discuss healing from tragedy

Rabbi Shaul Praver, Reverend Matt Crebbin, and Monsignor Robert Weiss, are faith leaders in Newtown. They say they and their community is on a long journey of grief, and that while it can seem dark, they are finding light.

In the year since the school shooting in Newtown, many  people have turned to, and been embraced by their faith communities.

Monsignor Robert Weiss, Rabbi Shaul Praver, and Reverend Matt Crebbin are all clergy leaders for Newtown residents.

They say one year out there’s a lot of healing, and there’s still a lot of rawness.
