Connecticut's consumer chief announced Thursday that he’s picked six medical marijuana dispensaries that will be the first in the state. The dispensaries will be in Branford, Bridgeport, Bristol, Hartford, South Windsor and Uncasville.
The gun control organization Connecticut Against Gun Violence said on Thursday it’s creating a political action committee to raise money to help state politicians. The move comes on the one year anniversary of Connecticut passing one of the toughest gun control laws in the country.
Police all across New York state will be supplied with the drug widely seen as an antidote to heroin and painkiller overdoses. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman created the program and funded it with $5 million in money seized from criminal investigations.
