On Wednesday Connecticut officials announced they are delaying the implementation of stricter performance evaluations for public school teachers. The state is also establishing a task force to study the implementation of the Common Core standards that were adopted four years ago.

One day after President Obama touted the hydro fracking of natural gas as a “bridge fuel,” New York's   environmental commissioner says it’s “extremely unlikely” that permits for drilling wells will be issued in the next year.

Mental health advocates rally in support of budget proposals

Community mental health advocates descended on Albany Tuesday. They were there to voice their approval for more than $200 million earmarked in Governor Andrew Cuomo's budget proposal for new community services and supports for New Yorkers with psychiatric conditions.
