Conn. developing plan for children's mental health

Connecticut's Department of Children and Families announced on Tuesday that they’re beginning to develop a plan to address the behavioral health needs of children in the state.  Mental health providers say the plan needs to focus on getting care to young people.

Congress' 2014 appropriations bill includes $185M for rail inspectors

U-S Senators Charles Schumer and Richard Blumenthal announced Tuesday there’s funding in the upcoming Omnibus Appropriations bill to hire 45 additional rail inspectors nationwide. But rail commuter advocates say that's far short of the $1B needed for capital improvements on Metro-North to make it safe.
