Members of a commission created by Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy to make legislative recommendations following the deadly school shooting in Newtown want more information about the mental health of the shooter. Members of the commission complained on Friday that not enough mental health information is included in a report released by Danbury State’s Attorney Stephen Sedensky.
An audit says employees of New York public authorities are paid more than 7 billion dollars a year. The New York Comptroller’s office performed the audit to look at how the authorities are using public money.
Fire Island National Seashore has received a $1 million federal grant to study a controversial breach caused by last year's Superstorm Sandy. The money is part of the $50 billion dollar Sandy Recovery Act and will go toward answering both short and long term questions.
