If you stop by the bar at Dunville's Restaurant in Westport, Connecticut, you can order a beer and shot, if you want. But the owner there, Stephen Carpentieri might encourage you to be a little more adventurous - maybe ordering a cocktail that combines the flavors of cucumber and lime with a few different kinds of spirits. Carpentieri and his bar are featured in a new documentary, called "Hey Bartender" about the current trend of craft cocktails. The movie follows Carpentieri as he gets swept up in that trend, and WSHU's Craig LeMoult sat down at the bar with him for a drink.

NY Comptroller: Medicaid program overpaid providers

New York State's Medicaid program overpaid providers nearly $11.5 million dollars, according to new audits conducted by the state Comptroller's office.

New York State has increased Suffolk County's child care subsidy by a million dollars. 

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's Moreland Act Commission to investigate the legislature is not the first time a Governor created a panel to probe state lawmakers. Cuomo's father did it a quarter century ago, with mixed results.   


A national gun industry association is withdrawing its support for federal legislation to create the Coltsville National Historical Park in Hartford. It cited the recent passage of Connecticut's gun control legislation in a letter to the state's congressional delegation and governor.
