Connecticut’s two U.S senators want more money spent for the treatment of heroin addiction. The senators said this at a forum with recovering addicts at a community health center in New Haven on Thursday.
U.S. Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut visited a beach in West Haven today to talk about efforts to continue restoration of Long Island Sound. Murphy is pushing for passage of the Long Island Sound Restoration and Stewardship Act.
Community activists and law enforcement officials in New Haven met with U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy today to discuss efforts to reduce gun violence in the city. The city saw 20 homicides and 67 shootings in 2013.
