Local perspective on Syria
The White House continues to urge holding the threat of a military attack over Syria's head as an inducement for President Assad to give up his chemical weapons. Just after President Obama's recent address on Syria, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut reiterated that he is adamantly against any attack. Murphy said he's heard from his constituents, and that they overwhelmingly agree with him. One Syrian national living in Connecticut disagrees, and says Syrian-Americans do as well.
