Sunday Baroque 7/27

Town musicians in England in the 16th and 17th centuries were called "waytes." They were roaming minstrels who would play under people's windows to wake them up, and provide fanfares for guests arriving in the town. Piffaro Renaissance Band featured music for just such an English Renaissance group on their CD Waytes, and you'll hear some of it this week on Sunday Baroque.
