Sunday Matinee 1/18

Many famous composers had a gift for words as well as musical genius, and some of their witticisms have been preserved. The Norwegian composer Grieg, who was born in the fishing port of Bergan, joked: "I'm sure my music has the taste of codfish," and Richard Strauss declared: "What I'd love best of all is to set myself to music." Join David Bouchier for a lively collection of anecdotes, aphorisms, jokes and good advice, and of course fine music too, in a program called "Wit and Wisdom."
