Danbury Mayor Boughton announces run for Governor

Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton announced on Wednesday that he will once again run for Governor of Connecticut as a Republican candidate.

In announcing his candidacy, the former state representative and seven-term mayor challenged Democratic Governor Dannel Malloy’s economic record.

Job fair in Danbury, Conn.

Connecticut’s Department of Labor held its first job fair of the fall hiring season Friday in Danbury. During the summer the the state’s unemployment rate remained high compared to the rest of the country, at just over eight percent.
