A Quinnipiac University Poll released on Friday finds Connecticut Democratic Governor Dannel Malloy deadlocked in a hypothetical reelection rematch with Republican challenger Tom Foley. The poll finds Malloy and Foley tied at 43 percent each, no change from a Q Poll released in March.

The Democratic Governor says he’s proud lawmakers in his party passed a budget that was balanced and did not raise taxes. With an eye towards the upcoming gubernatorial election, Malloy pledged not to raise taxes if re-elected. Republican House Minority Leader Larry Cafero says he doesn't believe that promise.
