Issues facing Metro-North railroad were the focus of a public hearing on Wednesday.  Members of the Connecticut General Assembly's Transportation Committee voiced concern about recent incidents, including two derailments, a power failure, and the death of a track foreman.

Conn. has second toughest gun laws in the nation

Connecticut ranks second highest in the nation for the strength of its gun reform laws, trailing only California.

That’s according to an annual ranking by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
