Connecticut State Senator Toni Harp has easily won election to become the first woman mayor in New Haven’s history. Harp is also the first new mayor in New Haven in two decades.

Connecticut State Senator Toni Harp defeated Alderman Justin Elicker, former Economic Development Administrator Henry Fernandez, and Hillhouse High School Principal Kermit Carolina in the race to replace long-time Mayor John DeStefano.
