While most parents are careful in giving toddlers age appropriate toys for the holidays, accidents can still happen. And it’s often the little things that can cause the biggest problems.

Attorneys for a former teacher at Stamford’s Yerwood Center and the center itself appeared in Stamford Superior Court Monday. Bonnie Campbell of Stamford charges the center is seeking to illegally shut down federally-funded programs.

Issues facing Metro-North railroad were the focus of a public hearing on Wednesday.  Members of the Connecticut General Assembly's Transportation Committee voiced concern about recent incidents, including two derailments, a power failure, and the death of a track foreman.
