Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy’s proposed $55-per-person tax rebate won the approval of a key state legislative committee on Tuesday. Members of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee voted 31 to 19 for the proposal.
The pro-business group Unshackle Upstate says upstate New York needs to be granted special tax breaks to help counter the economic recession that continues to afflict that part of state.
