University of Connecticut trustees have revoked an honorary degree awarded to Bill Cosby, saying he engaged in conduct "incongruent" with the values of the university.

University of Connecticut officials have put off plans to grow enrollment at the state's flagship university as they prepare a budget for the next fiscal year.

University of Connecticut biologist Carl Rettenmeyer and his wife Marian spent 50 years studying the army ants of South America’s rainforests -- tough, aggressive insects who move in swarms across the rainforest floor. In that time, they collected about two million army ants, along with the animals that live alongside army ants.

The University of Connecticut announced that it will be giving at least $5,000 a year in scholarships to each qualifying high school student in New Haven who chooses to attend UConn.

To qualify, public and charter school students in New Haven must have at least a 3.0 grade-point average. They also have to have good records in attendance and public service.

UConn President Susan Herbst announced the new funding during a press conference at a local high school on Tuesday.

The NCAA is reporting that UConn's men's basketball team has a graduation rate of just 20 percent, by far the lowest among the teams in the preseason Top 25.

The numbers count the players who came into the program between 2005 and 2008 and graduated within six years.

It's actually an improvement for UConn, which reported a 17 percent graduation rate last year and an 8 percent graduation rate just two seasons ago.

The national average for all sports is a graduation rate of 86 percent. In men's basketball, it's 77 percent.
