Everton, the English Premier League Club, has set up academies in Norwalk, Connecticut and Westchester, New York. They're drawing some international attention and other Premier League clubs may be following suit.

World Cup viewing parties filled restaurants and sports bars in the region at lunchtime on Thursday as the U.S. took on Germany in their final group match.

As World Cup fever grips the globe, fans in New Haven, Connecticut are watching the matches live outdoors on large TV screens in a downtown courtyard. The courtyard called Pitkin Plaza is now known as New Haven’s World Cup Village.  Host country Brazil took on Croatia in the opening match.
