An Evening Serenade

Joaquin Rodrigo envisioned his Concierto Serenata for harp as an evening serenade by a band of street musicians.  We'll enjoy it tonight.  

Grammy-winning Jason Vieaux is coming to the Long Island Guitar Festival next month, and we'll look forward to his performance with a little something from his new album with harpist Yolanda Kondinassis.  

Vaughan Williams' "Charterhouse Suite" takes its name from the school where he went as a boy.  We'll enjoy it tonight.  

Antonin Dvorak spent his summer vacations in a small town in Iowa, and today we'll enjoy one of the pieces he wrote during those relaxing interludes.  

Richard Strauss transformed Nietzche's epic work, Thus Spake Zarathustra into a series of eight important moments.  We'll enjoy a performance of it tonight.
