Our Mid-Day Mozart today features the Violin Concerto No. 5, from the brand-new release by young virtuoso Hilary Hahn.

According to legend, Tintagel Castle, on the rocky Cornish coast in England, is the birthplace of King Arthur.  We'll visit it tonight with an impression by Arnold Bax.

Tchaikovsky was one of Mozart's biggest fans.  This morning we'll enjoy a suite he wrote using his own arrangements of his favorite pieces by Mozart.

When he first arrived in this country from Europe, Lukas Foss was blown away by the vast openness of the Midwestern Prairie.  That sense of space was the inspiration for his Capriccio.  We'll enjoy it tonight.

Even though the weather is less than cooperative, we'll welcome Spring's arrival today with a bouquet of spring-time pieces, including Rick Sowash's suite, Sunny Days.
