Cuomo: NY could have a surplus

  Governor Andrew Cuomo says New York state could have a budget surplus within three years. The positive budget news comes as Cuomo has formed a task force to look at ways to cut taxes.

A question on the November ballot will ask New Yorkers if they support an expansion of casino gambling in the state.  A new poll finds the language in that ballot question is written in a way that influences voters to vote yes.

Police on Long Island are searching for a man who walked into a Garden City business this morning, and shot an employee to death. Another person was injured in the shooting.  Police say the alleged shooter was a vendor, disgruntled over a business deal.

Supporters of campaign finance reform rallied outside a hearing on Tuesday held by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's commission on public corruption. They demanded change to what they say is a pay to play culture.
