Malloy orders review of state regulations

Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy issued an executive order Wednesday requiring state agencies to review all regulations that are more than four years old.  The governor says the goal is to identify any that are obsolete, unnecessary or excessively burdensome.

Bridgeport state Representative Christine Ayala stripped of committee assignments

Connecticut House Speaker Brendan Sharkey stripped a Bridgeport legislator of all her legislative assignments on Wednesday. This comes after the state Elections Enforcement Commission referred a case involving Democratic state Rep. Christine Ayala to state prosecutors for a criminal investigation.

Anti gambling activists took a sledgehammer to a slot machine in front of the New York State Capitol on Tuesday. The activists were demonstrating  against a ballot amendment to legalize gambling casinos in New York.
