Michelle Turner

Program host, newscaster, reporter

Michelle Turner is a weekend news anchor, host and reporter for WSHU Public Radio Group stations.  She has worked in the greater New Haven area for more than 20 years.  Before joining WSHU, she hosted and managed news and public affairs programming for the stations of the Yale Broadcasting Company, WYBC AM and FM, and she was senior editor and news anchor at WQUN Radio.   Most recently, she was a reporter for the online newspaper, The New Haven Independent.  Michelle has also moderated, emceed and hosted numerous community events,  She has been active with the Women and Girls Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater New Haven, serves as a "Read Aloud" volunteer in the New Haven Public Schools, and is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Radio And Television News Directors Association.
